RENT movie soundtrack issues?!

I just went to buy the RENT movie soundtrack last week, and the sales guy told me that it's delayed because it had been recalled!! due to the fact that number 11 [or something] wouldn't play! so now they have to go back and fix it and it's release date is indefinite!!!! this is just what i was told, does anyone have any more info on the subject? anything would be helpful. i'm so dissapointed, i was so excited for the updated version of my favorite soundtrack!

You mean you're excited for the updated version of your favorite Cast Recording, right?

I havent heard of any recalls, and, of course, any complaints would be posted here.

It's from a movie, so it's a soundtrack.

But it's not an updated version of a soundtrack. It's an updated version of an OCR.

Especially on Out Tonight. I think the music overpowers Rosario.

Today Amazon told me:

BoxOfficeJon - just got mine today and I actually liked it because I felt the opposite - that the music at most times is almost a background, I think it enhances the music as 'dialogue' to further the plot, rather than just music...

is there a thread where people are discussing opinions on this? I'm aching to talk about my reaction with people...

This is why I love Best Buy. Whenever I need something, it's there. And all the tracks on my cds play fine for me.

Even though it was kidn of hard for me to listen to this at first because I'm so used to the original, it's beginning to grow on me. I love the new version of What You Own, I'll Cover You (Reprise), and the new bonus song.

When I play the first CD on my computer in Windows Media it doesn't come up with the track listing (ie the names of the songs). When I put in the second CD, the names of the tracks for the FIRST CD come up. So when I am listening to "Love Heals" Windows Media is telling me that I am listening to OTM. Anyone else have this happen?

i could only get a track listing off of disc 1, so when i put them in my car stereo they read the song titles, but disc 2 reads track 1 ,2, etc

Oasis - I had the same problem. I went to "Get CD Info" below the cover art, and researched for the CD information. If you put in "Rent" in the search engine, then choose the soundtrack, it will give you the option of choosing the first or second disc. Seems to be working for me.

I had another problem with Take Me or Leave Me and Seasons of Love B titles being switched. I changed the titles manually and that seems to be working as well.

Producersfan Seasons of Love B comes before Take Me or Leave Me on the soundtrack. Or are you saying it was the other way around like on the CR?
