RENT tour with Rapp/Pascal ends in Sacramento.

Wow, they keep adding on to that thing, don't they? I think that's technically the second extension, so whether there are to be anymore is probably anybody's guess.

I've heard Sacramento was the end of the tour but I also heard it was supposed to be in March at the time... But at one point (before it was officially announced), Sacramento was the suspected end date to the tour (by fans at least). For a long time the Asian dates were said to be the end and that clearly wasn't true. Who knows?

I also heard a rumor a couple weeks ago that Sac would be their last stop. (How anti-climactic!)

I saw it a few months ago, took two nieces who had never seen it on stage. It was surprisingly good, filled with the same energy as the early OBC and the first stop of the first national tour. Kind of a perfect RENT capstone for me, after having seen it a bunch in the very early years.

I'd recommend it strongly to people considering seeing it.

There's so much love going into those performances -- it shows. There are some cast members on tour whose performances I've never been crazy about, but on the whole, I think it's in great shape -- and I had been steadily returning to the Broadway production right up until the end. I know I'm like, the last person in the world to be considered objective on this, but I think Adam and Anthony are totally stunning, and have lost none of the spark they brought back to the Nederlander two years ago. One of the things I noticed when they came back to Broadway was that the rest of the cast seems to really step up to their presence, and that's definitely the case on the road, too. I caught the tour once over the summer, and even though that trip was meant to be closure, I've been feeling really compelled to go see it again, and I think I'm going to. It's in great shape, and it's a really worthwhile way to meet the show for the first time, revisit after an absence, or bid a fond farewell.

Joe, I didn't actually notice the "muck up" in "What You Own," but that could be because the song was kinda kicking my ass about not writing anymore... But I digress. What did they screw up?

I honestly had enjoyed most of the Marks I'd seen previously, but Anthony just blows them all out of the water. I can honestly say his performance is the single best performance I've seen in all my RENT experiences (as *any* character). I feel bad for people who have missed out on seeing his Mark.
