Thanks for the review!

Someone who saw the show in LA a few or so ago said they didn't see any merchandise for sale. Just thought I would ask you if there happened to be any when you saw it.

kyle, when I saw the show in Miami, I was told that they don't have any merchandise and, at this time, there are no plans to get any.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Did you really think the hair color of Clara would matter so much?

The show is great, but the set is not as effective as it was in New York.

Yes, we do need a third vampire musical.--Little Sally, Gypsy of the Year 2005.

i saw the show last night (11/11).

i was also worried about having a dark haired clara, but there were times when it was an ash blonde (in the light). It wasnt as big of a deal as i thought it would be.

I thought there were tiems when Elena was a LITTLE too obvious about Clara's affliction. She appeared almost mentally disabled as oppossed to stunted. but that was only if i HAD to complain about something. I thought she did a COMPLETELY different take on Clara that was adorableand charming.

I liked David Burnham too. His voice was amazing, and when it took off his shirt in Say It Somehow I wasn't complaining. Haha. Thwere were tiems when teh show was just getting underway and I thought his acting was a little forced. but it got better as teh show went on.

I was grateful that Christine Andreas did somethign TOTALLY different that Victoria Clark. It was a WHOLE new margaret and while I missed the way vicki clark did it, i appreciated the approach Christine had. SHe was much more refined, and her voice was exquisite. I could've listened all day. She had a very lilting soprano that was glorious and then she would unleash this wailing soprano and it was chilling. She was great.

I thought teh supporting cast was very strong as well. I liked Senora Nacarelli better than the woman from teh original production. She felt more motherly. More like a real italian woman (im italian, so I would know haha). I loved franca and guisseppe. the guisseppe was jsut as good as michael berresse's performance, although michael was obviously a better dancer.

the only weak link i thought was teh man whoplayed roy, but its such a small character that it didnt erally matter...

im going to go back. it was an entirely different take on everyones part, and i thought it was amazing!

Elena is just amazing!

...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

So I just got back from this show at the Ahmanson in LA..

This show is wonderful and lush. I've had the OBC for more than two years now and I absoultely love it. But to see acted so well on stage was just magic. Elena was magnificent and Christine Andreas was perfection. She was engaging and heartfelt. Fabrizio (David Burnham) skinny guy with a killer voice...pretty hot too. The cast was great overall and the orchestrations fantastic. The scenery and lighting just so beautiful it almost felt like I was watching a film. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. A great night at the theater. I would love to see it again.. and I just might. I was impressed.. to say the least! :) ok I'm done

I have been to the Ahmanson twice to see the show and my first opinions simply grew stronger.

Christine Andreas (Margaret) I liked what she did with the part but at times it felt forced. I also had a problem with her vibratto at some points. However her performance was great. Her greatest moment in the show was the bows. After the entire cast has come out she makes her grand entrance and courtsey's to the floor with her hand on her heart. So diva, so fabulous, it was amazing.

Elena Shaddow (Clara) I really enjoyed her and she was very adorable. AT times she seemed far too handicapped but that was only for a few moments. Her voice is lovely and this work sits nicely with her.

David Burnham (Fabrizio) I loved him. He was very powerful and I could always feel his presence when on stage. This music seems to be written for his voice and he definately looks the part. He was my favorite of the three leads.

Laura Griffith (Franca) Beautiful voice. At times a little too cartoony but still great
Johnathon Hammond (Guiseppe) Way too fake. He didn't swagger like a man but instead stumbled about the stage. He was definately my least favorite of the bunch.
Diane Sutherland (Signora Nacarelli) Nice. She fit with the family nicely and her punch lines worked flawlessly.
David Ledingham (Signor Nacarelli) Lovely and very attractive. He held the power of the scenes in his hand which helped during the dramatic scenes in Act II.

I loved the production and if it were running longer I'd be back for at least one more show.
