ROOMS - Cast Album??

Has anyone heard anything about whether or not this show will get a cast album? Yes, album! Face it, I'm old! LOL

The (moderator?) on the ROOMS fansite says that it is in the works...

A cast album is in the works. We will post information here, on the website, on the Facebook site and to the ROOMIES email list once we have more details to share.

(And before I hear it about the title of the link below, "soundtrack?" is what was asked, I didn't use that word. :))

Someone with one of the producing groups contacted me via my blog to get my thoughts on the show and I definitely pushed for a recording. Don't know if it'll do any good, but I gave it a shot.

I just saw the show last night and spoke with a couple of the producers of the show who said that yes, a cast recording is in the works and should be recorded in the near future! I'm so excited cause this was one of the most amazing musicals I've seen in a long time. Leslie and Doug were both brilliant.

Not really related, but Playbill lists the cheapest ticket to Rooms as $10.... how do I get them? I couldn't find anything on the official site about a lotto or rush or anything.

Playbill's incorrect, the $10 seats went up to $20 as of (I believe) March 30th. And they're not a rush or a lotto, just select orch a-b.

perfectliar, you might want to check online to see if there are any of the $20 available before you count on that. They are definitely advance purchase-able.

I saw Rooms last Saturday night. I was able to get $10 that morning (while picking up my tix for Toxic Avenger). I got front row center. You can't beat that for $10. (Or for the $20 price they are now charging).

It's definitely possible. But it's also possible they could be sold out of them in advance. Just saying it was worth checking before building a plan around them as if they were rush.

Thanks, jordangirl... I just checked, and they do have some. Rooms is my backup plan if I don't get RoA, and I have a few other options if I can't get Rooms.

You can get $25 rush to Toxic Avenger during previews, I believe. I got front row on the left. It was a perfect seat for a great show.

And I'm sure this will be recorded. It seems like something Ghostlight/ Sh-k-Boom would totally record.

Planning a trip to NY and hope to see this show as a friend is an investor in the show. Given the size of the house, is there a bad seat anywhere?

No info on a release date, but fyi Doug Kreeger's fan site on Facebook says they're recording the ROOMS cast album on May 7th.

I know its impossible, but I really would rather Celina record the recording
