So I am planning on going this Saturday morning to try and buy rush tickets for the evening performance of Gypsy. The box office opens at 10, does anyone have any suggestions on what time I should arrive? Or what time the line usually starts to form? Any tips on this process would be very much appreciated!!!
thanks so much!
Unless you're dead set on getting a crick in your neck for front row, you can most likely go anytime before curtain. I've gotten tickets (yes on a weekend) as late as like 45 minutes before curtain.
I got my student rush ticket 30 minutes before the show started.

Seriously? were the seats any good?
I've usually gotten extreme sides 4-8 rows back... But I prefer those to the neck breaking front row.

alright, thanks... and do I just need a student ID?
Yep. And the money for the ticket. I've heard that they take plastic...but I haven't ever tried it.

Alright, great, thanks!
these might be stupid questions... but does a high school ID work? and if I buy 2 tickets, can I bring someone who is not a student?
Thanks!!

I would assume high school IDs work (Legally Blonde is the only shoe I heard of trying to limit it to only college).
And yes, you can bring someone who isn't a student (or heck buy the 2 for people who aren't).

i went this past saturday but it was thnxgvng weekend so the line started at like 8 probablly. the front row seats are good if you've seen the show before otherwise i'd say stay away from them especially if your short. im 6'2 and i still had trouble seeing. but if you like being that close like i do then go for it. its fun. and i used my card and they took it so its not cash only. and yea its 2 tickets per ID.

I got a seat the Saturday before the holiday and bought my ticket about 45 min. before curtain. I was in the house right box, which is okay, but I had previously seen it from the extreme right side, so I wanted to see it from a different angle this time. Luckily (and I'm sure this is the case on most nights, since it isn't really selling out), I moved down to the center orchestra, like row K, and watched the second act from there. I didn't mind the box seats, though, you actually don't miss much because the set is so far downstage because of the orchestra.
