re: Raúl!!! (again) - playbill.com

There were far more differences between the two Taboo scores than there are between the two Chitty scores. Had Rosie not poured her personal money into the project, we probably wouldn't have seen Taboo's Broadway cast recorded. I can't think of a recent London transfer off-hand, other than Taboo that's gotten a Broadway recording.

I did ask Raul this question when I was at the stage door sat, he said probably not. But, I think we should get together and ask ghostlight recordings if they could do it. Probably not with the legal issues, but if I would want anyone to do it, it would be them. Can't we do a petition or something re: Raúl!!! (again) - playbill.com

Let's petition! Hell, there's a petition for everything ELSE. Sh-k-Boom/Ghostlight = re: Raúl!!! (again) - playbill.com, for obvious reasons.

"a twerp who wants to be Alan Cumming."
That's a horrible thing to say about ANYONE, but the fact that it was applied to Raul Esparza is just wrong. The two of them are nothing alike- they only have 1 role in common. And I always love when actors call out critics on their crap, because theater critics have more power than they deserve.

My God, if that man weren't married
I thought the exact same thing.

Reidel is taken' a lot of brutally honest hits lately. re: Raúl!!! (again) - playbill.com
Raúl's not been afraid in the past to call him out on this crap. No doubt it gets back to him, good thing.

I was hoping Mr. Wong would feature a(n openly) gay leading man as he so often does. (Emphasis on "openly".) I've enjoyed his interviews with Chris Sieber, John Tartaglia, John Barroman, Cheyenne Jackson, among others who've not avoided the "g" word.

.... I don't mean to make this sound rude, but what exactly are you implying? Not everyone is so open, and common courtesy says we publically respect their privacy, and their choice to remain such, whatever the case may be.

I love Raul more and more with every interview. This man is just a joy to see onstage. I may have to go back to see chitty again soon....

Also, what's with the "low self-esteem" comments from Euan.

"I don’t think I belong on Broadway. I’ve seen many better performers there. Meantime, I’m happy to work in a bar or a restaurant to pay the rent."

What???????? Don't say that Euan. We love you! Come back!
Euan's performance was what brought me back to Taboo more than once (well that and Raul). I thought his acting was wonderful. Comments like this from a really talented man really upset me.

We've all got our junk and my junk is you!

I second that!

Euan, we love you!
