I am going to be coming to NYC and debating on a show to see. My schedule for the week is full of 7 Shows and I have time to see an 8th show. I am debating whether to see Trip to Bountiful or Rabbit Hole. Any suggestions????? Thanks!

I can only vouch for Rabbit Hole, but as you can read in the current thread, it has been very well received. The acting and writing are both top notch. It opens tomorrow night, and assuming it opens to amazing reviews, which it should, it's going to sell out quickly since it's a limited run, so I'd say get your tickets before tomorrow night if you do choose the show.

Regardless, enjoy your trip! What other shows are you seeing?

Wow, that makes me feel better. I was always kind of shy about the fact that I've seen it 6 times. I guess I should be proud! re: Rabbit Hole or Trip to Bountiful

Both are brilliant so I have no idea what to tell you. If absolutely forced, I might favor TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL by a hair because of Lois Smith and the bittersweet, nostalgic life-affirming feeling the play imparts, but you couldn't go wrong either way.

I saw both shows in NYC last weekend and loved them both. I guess if I HAD to pick one, I'd go with "Bountiful" because of Lois Smith's brilliant performance. To echo Margo, you're going to be pleased regardless of which one you pick.
