Ragtime may not happen at the City Opera

I went to go see Pirates of Penzance today (amazing), and a salesperson at the gift shop saw me looking at the Ragtime CD. He told me that the production probably wouldn’t happen in 2008 anymore because the creative team pulled out of the project. Has anyone else heard something like this?

I actually think it was officially announced that it wouldn't happen...

I HATED Pirates of Penzance, what are we 3rd graders, it was so horribly LAME!
