Rain effect in WOLF HALL Part One: SPOILER

Question: when I saw WOLF HALL Part One six weeks ago, Cromwell enters with the effect of a downpour, presumably from a rain bird overhead. When I saw the same play ten days ago, Cromwell enters, wearing  a cape that is heavy with moisture but no rain effect. Anyone know if they have eliminated it, or there was a technical glitch that day?
