At home recovering from surgery and just joined this board last week to pass some time.....some of my ramblings......I love New York....been living here for 46 years....19 Broadway shows, many major off Broadway, worked some great regional theatres and tours, what a great way to earn a living.....Thank you Dick Wolfe Productions. I never went to law school but you guys have made me a great judge......NYC, great doctors, great vet for my cat, great pet sitters, great bakeries and meat markets. great financial advisors........great theatres to work in(Even those dumpy off off places are beautiful if you're in a play).......love the tourists who spend money in our theatres......love those women from Jersey, Long Island and Northern Suburbs who rent those buses each Wednesday and clog up the streets, keep coming......my name has never been above the title but who cares the ppay is still good.....they won't dim the lights when I die.....maybe I can get a room at the Actor's Home when the day comes, I certainly have supported the Actors Fund so hope they can find room for me BUT not now, I have some more shows to do.....most of all I admaire the young actors that arrive in the city each Spring and Summer, looking to make their mark.......best wishes to you all

Welcome to the sandbox! It sounds like you'll be offering some great insights, or can at least tell us who murdered who to produce what :) Hope you're feeling better and back on the boards soon. Nothing too serious, I hope!

Welcome! Hope you are better soon. Just remember - don't take anything personally on this board. It gets heated at times. (The understatement of the century)

I wish you a safe recovery. Thanks for your lovely words. People so often post negative things on this boards, and your ramblings are encouraging. Thanks.

"People that excel in the arts understand that the journey is the reward...the result an added bonus. Every day I act or train is a blessing and a dream come true. If Broadway beckons so be it. I have a personal definition of success that is unshakable by a possibly unobtainable goal." -HamletWasBipolar

What a nice post. It's nice to know that some people really CAN make it in the business. I wish you a speedy recovery.
