Random Rent question

Hey guys, on Siteforrent.com, under the news sections there's a page called wanna be in rent. I was wondering what this means, does it mean that you win a prize and get to be in the show one night or is it actual casting? Was it a limited time thing? I just really want to get involved in the show, I was just curious

I'm pretty sure that its to be an actual cast member. I read somewhere that not meny ppl have been cast through that. You should go for it, though, if its your dream!

it just has the info for where to send your resume and such if you want to be considered for an audition, and a description of all the characters so as to be able to figure out which character you would best fit.

A pal of mine auditioned several years ago for an "extra" spot on the tour (for one city only - they were looking for extras/filler bodies for some scenes).

I'm not sure if the current "call" follows the same format, but he had to sing an a rock or pop song a capella...they were strict about "NO SHOW TUNES" for the audition!

I don't even know if anyone there was actually cast (my friend wasn't), but he said it was a fun experience nonetheless.

It was a contest they had about a year and a half ago. The info that they have is still true(I believe), but they had this contest where they got videos and picked like, 3 finalists, and they performed on GMA and then they got to do the show for a night or something.

At least that's what I remember.

yeah i remember watching the video contestants over a year ago online.. i'm not sure if they win if they're in it for a while or just for a night like others said..
