Random theater question

I was procrastinating and checking out Patti LuPone's resume, and her credits from the 70's read like this:
4 consecutive shows (all in 1973) in the Nederlander Theater and then 4 consecutive shows in the Harkness Theater in 1975. You certainly don't see anything like that these days...
Was she in an acting troupe or something that would perform various plays in a certain theater?
Explanation anyone?

She was then in The Robber Bridegroom, Edward II, The Time of Your Life, and The Three Sisters at the Harkness. They were produced in repertory.

She (along with Kevin Kline) was part of the very first class of the Julliard School's graduate theatre program which involved being part of the legendary John Housman's Acting Company -- a rep company which did plays here as well as tour the country. It doesn't exist anymore (although Julliard obviously still has a theatre program), but it was highly acclaimed and provided great training for the participants.

I mean, probably the worst thing about my life is that I never saw any of those shows.
Okay, probably not the WORST thing, but I've seen pictures of her in The Robber Bridegroom and--seriously, what a fox.
