Hi! Anybody know what the story is? Is he resting his voice for Monday's show? [The critics are coming that night, aren't they?]
Thanks for any insight.
Who is his understudy?
donnie r. keshawarz
Not exactly a stage name is it?

According to posts on the Taboo forum, Raul has the flu.
I just hope he is able to perform by Monday; that is when I am going.
Will the critics be there by Monday, or do they start coming on Tuesday? Anyone know?

Donnie
Is the man. What a incredible performance.
Are Raul and Donna dating?
Fluie!
I hope they are both better soon. Their shows need them.

Raul loves me!
If he sang the phonebook I would pay to see it!
LOL
As of now, the critics are coming on Tuesday.
I've heard of many actors doing this during previews, so that they're in perfect voice for the critics. I'm not saying he isn't really sick, I'm just saying he's probably taking extra care so that he's 100% for the reviewers.
hmmmmmm, with a nod to Ashton Kutcher's delightful Saturday Night Live underwear performance,
it seems likely that Mr. Esparza caught cold from traipsing through the Plymouth in his jockey shorts. Raul needs to remember that warmth is needed for
the bologna of Broadway.

Hopefully he is taking good care of himself, in bed with lots of tea and soup.

Just a rumor, but I heard Raul is in the midst of leaving the show for good. Just a rumor, but from a VERY reliable source. All I can say is...smart move.

Have they confronted him about being the mole?

That wouldn't surprise me since he really wants to do ASSASINS and that is back in the works for the spring.

I just heard from a reliable source that he was at rehearsal today. Can anyone confirm?!

I think he was hanging out with Donna Muphy and caught her flu.

Who are all these "reliable sources" that everyone knows?

They do rehearse during the preview process (as well as after it opens).

Aren't all sources reliable? Wish I had one! But seriously, unless the source was Raul's agent or his mother, I will wait until I read it in Riedel's column.
And yes, considering that the press is coming this week, they should have had rehearsal today. But since I have no reliable source, or even "people" for that matter, I cannot confirm or deny. I ain't no mole!!!
Sorry, this is Jo125, actually, writing from a friend's account. Forgot to logout and login again. Sorry for confusion.

I really hope he's just taking extra care. I heard he was feeling crappy on Thursday, so I'm not surprised he took off yesterday. I'm seeing the show purely for him on Tuesday, rushing to NY after classes and all, so I think I'll really cry if I don't see him. Or BEG for an exchange, either one. But if the critics are coming that day, I don't think I'll have a problem.

My "reliable source" is someone...well lets say VERY involved in the production. I hope he does leave. He should be in Assasins, not Boy George's trashy musical.
Note to Raul: We'll all understand if you leave. Run now! Run straight to Assasins! We promise Rosie won't harm you (or at least we hope.)
