Text on the right side - Adam Pascal is nine years older. His hair is three inches longer. The East Village is now co-op chic. And it has been nearly a decade since Rent stormed Broadway. How in the wold is musical novice Chris Columbus, he of such non-edgy fare as Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire, going to make Rent the logical cinematic successor of Chicago and not A Chorus Line? Very carefully, we hope. Until the film hits theaters this Thanksgiving, we'll have to content ourselves with this exclusive sneak peek at most of the original Broadway cast reprising their roles (plus notable newcomer Rosario Dawson as Mimi). Meanwhile, we'll be counting the 227,520 mintues till the rent movie is either a Thanksgiving feast - or turkey.
