Raul out ill from TABOO

I was in NYC today to get tix to TABOO (to specifically see Raul) and the box office guy told me he was out ill last night and both shows today. Not sure about tomorrow either.

probably the flu...seems to be spreading around broadway like ben brantley.

If I was in that show, I'd feel ill too.

OK, what shows DO people like?
Personally, I think TABOO has a very talented cast.

Raul was ill during Act 1 on (I think) Thursday. His standby took over for Act 2, and will be covering the Philip Sallon role whilst Raul is off sick, possibly for all this coming week.

i saw the night show on 12/7 and raul was out. it was a really good show though..im def. going to see if again with raul and the girl who plays big sue

Aw, that's a shame. I hope he gets better, and selfishly I hope he's in this coming Sunday!!

I was sick too, but I'm better, should I sub for our dear fragile Raul?

I saw the show Sunday afternoon and I loved it!

It exceded my expectations. The understudies did a great job. Brooke Elliot has an amazing voice; I'm glad I saw her in the role of Big Sue.
I definitely want to see it again.
On a side note, John Waters (the creator of Hairspray) was there yesterday for the matinee. I didn't see him at the show, but then again I wasn't really looking aound for people during intermission, but I saw him backstage after. He stopped by to say hello to Boy George. Also one of the correspondents from On Stage! was there (at least I'm pretty sure it was him)....the one from Backstage magazine...David something. lol I always forget his last name. Him I actually did see walking around inside.
