Wow, awesome season this summer, I really need to get my butt out to Ravinia now...Just thought I'd share:

June 19th-20th- Barbara Cook concert

Tuesday July 26th-Eartha Kitt, Nellie McKay and special guests starring in "Play It Again: the Music of Woody Alleen"

August 14th-15th- Tovah: Out of Her Mine-Tovah Feldshuh

August 26th-27th-Sondheim's Anyone Can Whistle-Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, and Michael Cerveris

August 28th-29th- Betty Buckley concert

September 4th- an evening with Michael Feinstein

I am so making a trip up from Atlanta to see Anyone Can Whistle! I CAN NOT wait! I've been wanting to go back to Chicago for a while, and this is just gave me all the more reason to go!

I loooooove Ravinia. I am from Chicago, now living in NYC. Ravinia is one thing I really miss. NYC does not have anything to rival Ravinia, and Tanglewood is far from here.

Iam so excited to see Anyone can Whistle!!! My mom just got the tickets! As well as tickets to see Wicked a fouth time in Chicago(I have seen it once and already had tickets for late may and june)on July 10th!!!

Those unfamiliar with Ravinia-- it's about 25 miles North of the city (but right on a train line, so you don't have to drive) and while pavillion seats can be quite pricey, there are also very affordable ($10) lawn seats which do not give you a view of the stage but you get to hear the concert amdist some of the most gorgeous scenery, sprawled out on that lawn...And you can BYOB.

As long as it doesn't rain, it's a wonderful night. But...no solo Audra Concert this year?
