The first Broadway musical I ever saw was something called "By the Beautiful Sea" and it starred Shirley Booth. I don't remember anything about it..not the music..not the story line and not anyone else in the cast. All I can remember is being mezmerized by Shirley Booth. I still have the playbill as well as just about every other playbill from anything I ever saw anywhere in the world.
