For me the OBC of RENT was perfect. Wouldnt Change a thing

yes, def. the OBC for rent...
for chicago i'd go with ruthie henshaw (sp?) as roxie, ben vareen as billy and stephanie pope as velma
for into the woods id stick with bernadette, and the rest wouldnt matter quite as much to me (though i did love joanna-cant-remember-her-last-name as the baker's wife)
the apple tree is the one with only three characters right? i think id go with kristen chenowech or kerry buttler as the girl because of the part where she sings "im gorgous", either one of them would be great, and histerical
and for jcs id LOVE to see adam as judas and maybe heather headley as mary- though she deserves a beefier role, id love to hear her "i dont know how to love him"

Joanna Gleason played the Baker's Wife- and yes, she was a delight. :)

John Dossett as Billy? That sounds really good, actually. He was great in Gypsy.

You thought Dossett was great in gypsy? i thought he was dreadful!

i would change Joanne (Fredi) in Rent...thats pretty much it as far as leads go for that show.

Ruthie Henshall would be a FIERCE roxie...though shes getting up there in age! I would love to see Lilias White as Mama - doubt it would happen though! Hugh Jackman would be fantastic as Billy, so would Cheyenne Jackson.

JCS is a tough one. Tony Vincent is so amazing. I wish he was Judas on the DVD!! Billy Porter as another option for Judas.
