Real Life Broadway

Not sure if there have been threads exactly on this already and too confused to look. But I spent a significant amount of time on the “You know you’re a Broadway geek….” thread and noticed that a ton of people said that they reference Broadway shows in real life. I’m curious to know more details of the situations behind the reference…..

- Me first, during freshman year of college I was begging this girl to go to a party with me, I slid down sideways on the banister of the stair of our dorm and then flipped over the rail and begged her to “take me out tonight”. They were quite impressive acrobatics, considering that I didn’t practice it. I’m pretty sure she thought I was gay.


- I have one friend and when ever he sees a sad or strange looking lady he always says “Oh, Miss Elphaba”

- I can’t help but to sing “We’re on Vacation….” Just like Clara whenever I take a roadtrip.

- I once climbed a tree and sang “Sidewalk Tree” from Raisin, no one knew what I was doing or where the song came from.

- I was sick and had to miss a party with friends, I definitely sang to them in confidence that “I wish I could go to the festival”

Any others that anyone would care to share?
