Okay this has been bugging me for awhile. I've searched every reference I could possibly find, but nothing.
Just what, if anything, does the "716" on the door of Max's office (in The Producers) represent? It's a different number in the movie (200-something) and I would think nothing of it but they put it on everything (as part of the logo). And since they put in that little reference to Tom Meehan's address it just seems like it's important. Maybe it's not and I'm just weird that way...
Thanks guys - random thoughts on a rainy Thursday night.

Is that someone's birthday or something? Because I know the first office scene is supposed to take place on 6-16-59
If anyone seens 8/5/64, that's Brooks and Bancroft's anniversary

6/16 is "Bloomsday" from James Joyce's "Ulysses" (the character's name in that poem is Leopold Bloom as well). That's why Leo goes "When's it going to be Bloomsday?" - it's a really funny in-joke.
Mel's birthday is in June so that cancels that out too...
