Really stupid In The Heights question

I've seen the show and I've listened to the cast recording multiple times and I've never been able to figure out this plot point:

Does the power ever actually come back on?

Anyway, could someone answer me and then bash me because this has been driving me semi-nuts.

hee- no. well, hopefully it does come back on sometime after the show ends, but during Finale "and now the crack of dawn, the blackout goes on and on and on..."

One of the reasons I love the "omg unrealistic happily ever after ending!" critics- they don't even have power back by the end! :)
