Rebecca Luker returns...

Busy working off-Broadway, after a post-"Music Man" rest and some recent short-term appearances, it appears that Becca is back full-force.

Her new CD out in about two months as a long-awaited follow-up to her Cole Porter CD from several years ago. Good to have her back.

....I can honestly say that I haven't a clue what people see in her. Nice voice but a blank piece of paper on stage.

When did she do Phantom?

Mixed review for her off-Broadway play "Can't Let Go" in Newsday...calls it a "refreshingly lightweight treat to kick off the summer"...after some quibbling over some of the lack of characterizations.

Says "Luker, clearly enjoying playing the straight woman surrounded by three very intense co-workers, has some fun with Beth's perpetual dismay, and has perfected a harried hunch over her keyboard. She also nicely underplays the character's big monologue, which, coming toward the end of the play's 75-minute running time, is so out of left field that we can't help but buy it."
