2 Years ago i saw a great musical in my hometown Antwerp called; "Red Star Line, Portrait of a stolen spring"
And now as it shows this Belgian production will now perform in NY comming week in the THE ABRONS ARTS CENTER, for 3 days.
The story tells about 2 Ukranian Jews who left their homeland at the beginning of the last century, trying to flee to Belgium for the upcomming Nazi regime, and hoping to reach America via the port of Antwerp.
This acclaimed musical which is based on true events feature the original cast: David Verbeeck and Ann de Winne.
It received several prices(best actor and best small musical) during the Dutch musical awards in 2004.
When you are in NY and can get tickets please don't pass on this deeply profounding musical, i am quite sure in the end it will leave you speechless too.

"When life is filled with pain and misery,
here in your arms is where I want to be.
But still at moments when I meet your eyes,
my heartbeat quickens and I realize:
Though now I'm old and gray it's time you knew
That I never fell out of love with you..."
