So, I finally found the DVD and rented it. Its amazing. I love the campiness of it, and the fact that everyone plays it so straight. The music is really good. My question is, why is the LA recording so hard to find? I'd love to get a copy of it, but the only ones i could find are 70 bucks on Amazon? And I couldn't find any on Ebay. Any help? Thanks.

I have the tracks on my computer. The LA version is very different from the movie (most of the second half actually). I like the movie version better, but both are great. Christian Campbell(Jimmy), John Kassir(Ralph), and Robert Torti(Jesus) are in both versions but the rest of the cast is different.
To find it cheaper, I'd try their website. I'm pretty sure they still sell LA cds for $17. I hope that helps!

Wow, i bought it on Amazon this summer for 18 dollars, they obviously ran out of their stock.

and there are 2-3 posts already on this on this already from 2 weeks ago when I bought the cd.....SEARCH is a beautiful thing....

Sorry, Elphaba...its not that big of deal. Well, thanks for your help. My other question is - is this show available for regional shows? Like can community theaters put this show on, or what? Thanks. And if so, would the music be like the LA recording ?
