"Reefer Madness" Rights?

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the production rights for "Reefer Madness" are available and, if so, from who. Thanks!

"Contact Kevin Murphy for the latest information on stock and amateur rights. We"ve kept the show on moratorium for the past few years, but we may revisit this policy after the film is released on DVD in October 2005. We allowed two outside productions in 2004 -- one produced by Scott Miller at the New Line Theatre in St. Louis and one by Scott Spence at the Beck Center near Cleveland. Sadly, both Scotts taught Kevin and Dan an expensive lesson by stiffing them on the agreed-upon royalty payment, so any future productions will require payment in advance."

And I'm not positive but I *think* NYU is possibly doing it, so possibly rights will be avalible soon (?) I might have heard wrong though so who knows.

Would LOVE to be in this show though.

I went to that production, it was amazing! I loooved the show! That pisses me off they stiffed them on the royalties...The Beck Center is a well respected regional theater, so that's really disappointing.

I want a theatre here to do it. Ya know, like the Amanhson (sp, I know) or something. It looks hilarious.
