Refresh my memory: Sting on Broadway?

I am a huge Sting fan and I know he was on Broadway a while back and that the show flopped. But, shame on my memory, I can't recall what show or role...any one remember?
And, for added fun; did anyone see it and what did you think?
Thanks!

I saw it and did not like it at all. I wanted to leave at intermission but I was with someone who thought, "Maybe it will get better in the second act," which, as most of us know, doesn't happen (unless the director and cast can be replaced during intermission).
Sting's performance was lackluster, a word one does not associate with MacHeath.
Georgia Brown was the highlight of the show for me, if I recall. She was excellent amidst a lot of mediocre. And I do believe Maureen McGovern was in it, too. Although I have no memory of her performance.
I am looking forward to Alan Cumming in the role. He can actually sing, dance AND act, plus he oozes charm and is as cute (and devilish) as they come. I hope it's good. I have witnessed more bad productions of Threepenny Opera than any other play or musical I've ever seen.
