Refunds/Exchanges

I have two tickets for Daddy Long Legs on April 23, matinee, and something has come up. I am heading in on Saturday for another show and was going to ask for a refund or exchange...do theaters ever make exceptions? I know the tickets always say no refunds or exchanges but I thought maybe under certain circumstances?

If not I'm gonna have to try and sell...

Sometimes they will. You just have to call and ask. Telecharge has great customer service although it isn't ultimately their decision. I have done this for two shows. Once I had a friend who decided she wanted to see a show but she wasn't available on the day I'd bought a single ticket and they were able to exchange it for a different show. Another time I was sick the day of a matinee so I called telecharge. They called the theater to try to exchange for another date but it was the same day and the theater said it was too close to showtime, but they sent me helpful information on the post-dating policy. I was able to return for a weeknight show that was not sold out a few weeks later and got a great seat. (And the box office staff was super helpful and friendly too!!  That doesn't always happen but I guess I got lucky.). Better to call sooner than later. Your most likely bet is to exchange for a different date for the same show.

Did you buy the tickets thru Telecharge online or over the phone? If so you'll have to return/exchange them by calling them.  Telecharge has always accommodated me when I could not make a show, sometimes they will have to talk to a supervisor or the box office, but they always return calls if they do.    I am not sure how accommodating the Box Office will be though, they may tell you that you will have to past date your unused tickets. I bought them on telecharge.com. I guess I will call tomorrow! Thanks, this makes me feel better lol.
