Two related questions:
1) Do theatres give refunds if you are dissatisfied with a production?
2) Do theatres give refunds if an actor or actress is not on that night? Particularly, do they do this, even if the missing performer is not a 'name'? Does it have anything to do with billing on the posters?
No for number one.
Yes for number 2. i just stated in a different thread that when i saw gypsy, bernadette was out and the box office manager came out and said we could all get a refund though only about 5 people did bc we all loved maureen moore.

If a name-above-the-title star is out of the performance you attend on Broadway, then you have the right to receive a refund if you so desire.
