Posted: 7/8/08 at 12:13pmWonderful actor. Passed away at 74. I saw him play Bill Sampson opposite Anne Baxter in APPLAUSE during the summer of 1971 and he was terrific. He will be missed.

I first heard him on the cast album of Celebration (co-starring with an old friend, the late Ted Thurston), but I met this nice man after a performance of Happy Birthday, Wanda June.
