You pretty much have to wait for individual cities to announce it when they unveil their seasons, you rarely see a complete tour posted immediately... AFAIK.

I love Rent as much as the next person but to be honest I'm quite shocked anyone still wants to see it.

Not everyone had a chance to see a professional production yet. Like the last tour with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal ended in 2010, so if you were 11 then, you probably couldn't go, but you're 17 now and want to? Plus, I constantly meet people who say they wish they saw it. Not sure why they didn't/couldn't, but here's another shot for them, too.

Not to mention for some people my age (mid-30s) there is still a nostalgia factor that makes you want to see it again. I'll always see it when it comes to town. Is it the best show ever? Nope. But I remember what a big deal it was when it started as it was the first show many of my friends in Wisconsin had ever heard of. I had been fortunate enough to be exposed to lots of theater but many of my friends weren't and everyone still knew Rent. It was also the first show I ever saw without my parents (I was between my junior and senior year in high school) and it will always bring me fond memories. My friends and I all got really dressed up and wore way too much sparkly 90s makeup and felt like such grown ups going out to the theater. (We had a chaperone but a young cool one. :)) Plus I still love the music so I always enjoy seeing the show, even if it feels a bit dated now. Happy memories. :)

The list of tour stops is very odd. They have a few big markets, but so many smaller markets like jackson, MI or places in the midwest. Meanwhile large cities like atlanta or philadelphia get left off the list completley. I'm already not too impressed with this.
