Rent: Another Day

Am I the only one who envisions like a scene from boy meets world when they show the outside of the school when the very beginning of the song is playing?

re: Rent: Another Day

you know how in shows when they are switching from a scene at the house to a scene at school often times they show stock footage of the outside of a school and have music playing in the background? Well the beginning of the song sounds like the background music to me.

re: Rent: Another Day

oh yes yes I agree it does. Like bland sitcom music used in the scene changes. Oh no did I just say something bad about RENt?? (slaps self in face)

re: Rent: Another Day

But hmmm I am very suspicious that you had a RENt song in your head....hmmmmmmm Could somebody be changing his mind about seeing RENT when he visits New York in April? hhmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm

re: Rent: Another Day

we were arguing about Phantom, not Rent, george. I would totally see Rent, but I saw it twice last year when it came to Chicago.

re: Rent: Another Day

oh yeah thats right sorry I get my long-runners mixed up sometime. And the skankfest tour that's in some 2,500 seat theater in Chicago doesnt count as seeing RENt! : ) I love my hometown of Chicago, but the 3 theaters they have are just too big!

re: Rent: Another Day

Yeah last year's tour was not that great... the Mimi was HORRIBLE. Her singing sounded like someone was throwing up on stage.

If only they could give us some more theatres for BIC to use...

re: Rent: Another Day

I still think they should retrofit the Congress Theater and the Vic, ones like that. They are b-way sized houses and could have shows like Ave Q, and shows with minimal scenery quite easily. But, the suburbanites that go see shows are reluctant enough to go into the touristy section of downtown chicago. They'll never be convinced to go out into the evil, scary neighborhoods!!!

no, anything but the neighborhoods!!! God Help us all!!!
