Roger is saying that Mark is detatching from his feelings. He's trying to shut himself off tot he fact that he's lost one good friend, and will lose more as the time passes. Mark isn't necessarily disagreeing with him on it, he's just stating that it's because he is, in fact, the only one out of the group who does not have HIV/AIDS.
(And Emcee, they have it as well. Or at least they did at NYTW.)
Maureen and Joanne have HIV? What? I know they did in NYTW, but there is *no* reference to them being positive in the show as it is now.
The only referenc eI caught in the show now was the one we're speaking of. I really couldn't tell for sure.
Well if in the original NYTW cast Joanne and Maureen have AIDS/HIV then I guess Mark would too. I do not think that is the case, but maybe thats how it might have been in the NYTW.
I do not think so---I'm spitting words out of my head lol
That could be ture, but Mark did not have AIDS, even in the NYTW production.
By "one of us," I think Mark literally means the two people there at the moment -- he and Roger. I don't think he's referring to the entire group.
I agree luvtheEmcee. There are so many things you could catagorize those two in. As bohemians, roommates, etc.
I don't understand what you mean; what does it have to do with categorization?

the original NYTW version had Roger saying something to the effect of, "At least you're the one of us to survive,"
Exactly - and that goes along with my interpretation of Mark saying that he will out live Roger - and he closes himself off to people to deal with it.
I always thought that line/section of dialogue was pretty clear....
