Posted: 10/9/08 at 2:13amThanks guys, really want to see this show and am planning a trip to NY anyway, so it makes sense to coincide them and travel a few hours to see Rent!

But, if you want to pay more you can take Amtrak. I don't know to be honest with you how long the train ride is. But, I know it is a lot shorter to go to Philly then it is Schenectady.

Take one of the Fung Wah busses from Chinatown in NY to Chinatown in Philly...it's 20 bucks round trip...2 1/2hrs non-stop and they run every hour til 11 I believe..there are 2 or 3 companies that do it.
I took the Greyhound up to the Proctors Theatre in Feb to see a friend in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...there's a transfer in Albany and it's 85 dollars around trip and it takes roughly 4 to 5 hrs.
I'll take the first choice, thank you!
