I saw the bonus features on the DVD yesterday, and thought they were generally well done.
The girl in "The Final Lottery" feature that kissed the lotto man after she won was really cute ("wear a nice shirt...yeah, you can shower"...lol).
It was nice to see all the different heartfelt messages that people wrote on the front of the theatre in "The Wall" feature, although when you think about it, it's essentially a 6 minute homage with nice music to illegal graffiti...lol.
“The Final Curtain Call” feature was nice to see things a bit expanded than what's on the filming with more audience shots, and the OBC singing along before coming out. However, they managed to cut the expanded solos, and Anthonys claps to Jonathan AGAIN!
“RENT: The Final Days On Broadway” feature was the longest one, and was nice to see more shots from the actual final performance, and the emotions that go along with the finality of such a long run. The shots of Adam crying backstage after the end was really touching cause they said earlier that he never cried before. However, I don't like that any of the features hardly mention that almost all of the footage on the recording was shot in one day in August, and not on the final night. I get the feeling that Sony is deliberately trying to have people think that what they're seeing is the actual final performance (ie. by putting it in big block letters on the covers). I get the necessity of needing to do lots of retakes, and not being stuck on only one (emotional) night of shooting, but they shouldn't market it as "1 Last Performance", and "The Final Performance" if the only thing that's in there from it is essentially the curtain call.
Overall, it's a great release with good bonus features, that will allow more people to see, and be touched by, what many people agree is a "better" version of Rent than the movie of 2005 could provide.

Good review! I agree with everything you said. Also, everytime Will Chase sings on the DVD I get goosebumps.
