Report: Stage director Sam Mendes to direct next James Bond movie

Sam Mendes, who has directed many stage productions including the 1998 revival of "Caberat" and the 2003 revival of "Gypsy" is in talks to direct the next James Bond movie. Some of his well-known films include "Revolutionary Road" and "American Beauty." I think he'll do great if he signs on for this job.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Mendes and find AMERICAN BEAUTY and ROAD TO PERDITION pretty unforgettable. REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and AWAY WE GO were lesser efforts, but worked well overall. I think FOLLIES is more up his alley than this. I really can't see him outdoing the previous directors of the Craig/Bond reboot, at least as far as action sequences go...
