#2Review of ART's 'The Blue Flower'

I recently saw Blue Flower with my playwriting and directing class at Lexington High School. I went in with no real knowledge as to the plot of the show. But I found it visually stunning and the most beautiful theatre I've had the privilege to experience. This is coming from someone who is only 16 but it honestly left me with so much to think about in a positive way. From the very beginning when the stage crew set the stage when the audience was comfortable seated there was a very relaxed and casual feeling. The plot of the musical is far from relaxed however. The actors were all inspiring, coming from someone who wants to pursue acting it was incredible to see performers who dedicated themselves to each simple action, wether it was pushing together tea cups on a table or sitting against the set while another character had a moment to the audience. Everyone was 100% invested in their action and that was clear. I loved the use of the film as well, giving the show a very interactive feeling. I don't think words can very well describe the feeling I was left with. Everyone should go see.
