I'm sure this topic has come up before, but as I'm relatively new here and as I'm in intense procrastination mode over a take-home final exam, I thought I'd throw it out there.
What's your favorite rhyming lyric from a musical?
I have three:
Not forgetting the tasks unachievable
mountains unscaleable
if it's conceivable
but unavailable
...Into the Woods
Yes I feel guilt
Yes I'm annoyed
So was Jung
So was Freud
...Falsettos
and now of course I can't remember the third one. hmmmm....
post away. I'll be back when I think of it.
:o)

Pretty stupid but I love this one from Wicked:
"Nessa,
Listen Nessa
I've got something to confess-a
reason why..."

You may dine on any single thing you wish
Though I'd wait for dinner we are serving fish...

"THIS is how you dress for the Tony's, get it!? Ok, see you at the after-party..." [YAHM]

Plenty have hoped and dreamed and prayed
But they can't get out of Klimovich
If Schmuel had been a cute goyishe maid
He'd've looked a lot like you
Maybe it's just that you're afraid to go out on to a limb-ovich
Maybe your heart's completely swayed
But your head can't follow through
- The Last 5 Years
If you were gay
I'd shout HOORAY
And here I'd stay
But I wouldn't get in your way
- Ave. Q
Those were just the first that came to my mind

Her letters do contain a few proposals to your Emperor
Which if, of course, he won't endorse, will put her in a temper or, More happily, should he agree, will serve to keep her placid, or
At least till I am followed by a permanent ambassador.
and:
Great Britain wishes her position clear and indisputable;
We're not amused at being used and therefore stand immutable;
And though you Japs are foxy chaps and damnably inscrutable...

I love Yazbek!!!
And that line from MFL is great too.
Hmmmmm
I like "Show You a Thing or Two" from BatBoy. That whole part where Edgar says I will discuss Capernicus... and all that.
Moder Major General. Especially when Gilda did it with the Muppets. Probably before most of our time.

"I joined the Foreign Legion with a sabre in my hand.
I crawled across the desert with my belly in the sand
with men who loved their camels and their brandy and their
swears.
Nobody dished, nobody swished,
When I was a Foreign Legionaire."
