YES!! I've been DYING for someone to finally make this! So many of her songs already carry stories, I remember before she passed she had been working on a musical based on her life. I wonder if this is that project or a completely new project.

Correct, skies! I've always thought her Once Upon a Time album would make a great (non biographical) musical. Almost wish they just went ahead and adapted one of her concept albums, rather than going the expected biographical route. Hopefully they'll keep some of the grit and drama to her life and they don't churn out some shiny disco duck.

I remember on the "VH1-Live and More Encore" cd/show there was a track called "My Life" that she said in the song's intro that it was from the play "Ordinary Girl" that was based on her life.

I was at the reading... It's reAlly good. This could be a big winner! LaChanze gives another stellar performance that could win her another Tony. DuBose is also fantastic. There are three actresses all playing Donna at different ages. The female cast really puts a nice twist on what had become a tired genre (juke box musicals).
