Ring In New Years With Broadways Liz Callaway

Broadway favorite Liz Callaway will welcome the New Year with two shows at the Metropolitan Room Dec. 31.

Callaway will offer shows at the Manhattan venue at 7 PM and 10:30 PM. She will be backed by music director Alex Rybeck.

There is a $45 cover charge for the first show plus a two-drink minimum; for the late show, which includes food and an open bar, the cover is $139.

Liz Callaway, most recently on Broadway in The Look of Love, made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, and she also took part in the anniversary concert of that musical. For her work in the musical Baby, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and her other Broadway credits include The Three Musketeers, Miss Saigon and Cats. Callaway's solo recordings include "Passage of Time," "The Beat Goes On," "Anywhere I Wander—Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser" and "The Story Goes On." She is also currently touring with sister Ann Hampton Callaway in their new concert act, Boom!

I attended a New Year's Eve gala starring Liz Callaway years ago and it was glorious fun. Wish I could be there.
