okay, I saw this yesterday!! It was very well done, I dont want to say amazing..but very well done. The music is definately the selling point, beautiful score with all the actors having the most beautiful voices. The show is about a couple named Glen and Bessie Hyde who went missing in 1928 when they went rafting, their raft was found but all of their belongings and raft were still perfectly in tact. The show explored two different theories of how the couple disappeared w/two narrators who played various characters in the show. The book was very well done, the entire show (songs, characters relationships) were based on the ongoing theme of rivers. The book also contrasted, linked, and interweaved both theories cleverly together. In Act 2 they sort of lost me in the beginning, it was just a little dull...but the entire show was very well done.
so i definately reccommend anyone who wishes to see something truly wonderful, to head down to Marin Theatre Company in Mill Valley and check it out
