Maybe.

Benigni stars in TuttoDante, a comic version of Dante's Inferno, acclaimed currently on an Italian tour.

That would be wonderful.

He has such a gift for slapstick and physical comedy. My favorite comedy of his is "Johnny Stecchino." Absolutely hysterical.

I hope this happens.

Ever read Dante's Inferno - not your standard "comic" fare.

Well, it is The Divine Comedy, along with Purgatorio and Paradisio.

I've never been a fan of Benigni. I think Life is Beautiful is incredibly overrated.

It's not 'The Divine Comedy' as in 'The Divine Laughfest'. The word comedy can also refer to a story of morality and spiritual growth. Funny this came out as I am currently working on a manuscript on a modern day Dante's Infero story...

SirLiir - This is off topic but have you read the Robert Pinsky translation of the Inferno? It is wonderfully poetic, and, as far as I can tell, quite close to the original. Pinsky apparently never did the subsequent books so I never read any farther!
