I've just started listening to Golden Age and pre Golden Age musicals and I LOVE Rogers and Hart musicals. I saw On Your Toes, Pal Joey and Babes in Arms at my camp adn I'm now obsessed! Anyone agree?

Yup, Rodgers and Hart are GREAT! My Funny Valentine, Where or When, I wish I Were In Love Again are great! To Keep My Love Alive is hilarious. If you like them, try some Gershwin, too.

I had to learn about Gershwin in school and I didn't really like him. But that may be because we have to sing Swanee to new words about my "wonderful" school.

I'd give the world to see,

I think you get the point.

Rodgers and Hart are definitely up there (much preferred to his collaboration with Hammerstein in my book). No one beats Porter, though. He will forever remain my fave.

("Sing for Your Supper" is one of my fave songs, too, Caroline. re: Rogers and Hart )
