I shaved my head to play Moonface in ANYTHING GOES.
I grew mutton chops to play Jigger in CAROUSEL.
I dyed my hair red to play Schlegel in CARNIVAL.

Posted: 11/21/03 at 8:46amI'd dye my hair to play Deena Jones. I'd have to go through a few more alterations, too, but it would all be worth it to be able to descend to the stage on a plexiglass platform in a red beaded gown, surrounded by efficious chorus boys singing my praises.

Well, I think that's what wigs are for.
Incidently - I used to be blonde, but I wore a dark brown wig for a role and everyone loved it so much and gave me such amazing compliments about it, I dyed my own hair dk brown. I don't know if I'll go back.

I don't think Glinda HAS to be blonde does she?
I would have to die my hair for any character designed as a cartoon, like Schroder from Peanuts, or for any show where I have to wear wigs and need to have a generic color on my hair that wont show up under the bottom of the wig.
