^jaystarr, thanks for the pics for Present Laughter. I, too, saw it when it was at the Huntington Theater and it was wonderful. The set was incredible and I do hope it is just as incredible on Broadway (hopefully yes, with Martin on board). Victor Garber was worth the price of admission so I am glad he will in it.
I hated the Bye-Bye Birdie movie, hated the show when my college did it. Then I saw the wonderful production of it at North Shore last season and I finally understood the draw of the show! The humor in it, the parody, finally made sense and I really enjoyed the show and the production. I would be interested to see what the Roundabout does with it and cross my fingers that it doesn't get a bubble-gummed treatment like the latest revival of Grease.
