Hi everyone,
Does anybody know when Hiptix go on sale for Roundabout's 2016-2017 season? I wasn't able to find this on the site. I love the program and am so appreciative they offer it. However, since the seats are in the back rows sometimes I have not been able to see very well. I was wondering if there are any particular upcoming shows that may be worth splurging for regular tickets, or shows where sitting farther back will work well? I am a relatively new fan and am not familiar with any shows they are offering for the upcoming season.
Or, are there are any particular theaters where the back row still gives a decent view?
I know this is somewhat subjective, but I would still appreciate others' thoughts. Thanks in advance for any input!

They go on sale at the same time that regular tickets go on sale, so just keep your eyes on the website to find out when tickets for each show goes on sale. This season I put the dates on my calendar so that I could remember to buy Hiptix right away for each show.

You might consider HipTix Gold. I've never done it since I can't afford it, but it's definitely cheaper than splurging on full-priced tickets (which you are considering doing anyway). So it might be a good deal for you since you get extra benefits, including orchestra seating.

Do some research if you want!

Personally I think the American Airlines theatre is quite intimate, and I've never had an issue with the back row there. Studio 54's rear-mezzanine has always felt pretty far away from the stage for me, but it's tolerable. As you said, it's also quite subjective.

This post brings me out of my longtime lurker status.
Hiptix went on sale yesterday actually - I received an enail around lunchtime with the code and bought tickets to The Cherry Orchard and Love, Love, Love.
i upgraded to Gold before my purchase and was able to grab first row center mezzanine seats for both.

Welcome! Happy to have you leave the lurking behind!
Hmmm... I can't seem to access Hiptix for any show...
^Try logging out of your account while selecting tickets, then logging back in before checking out. That has sometimes worked for me when HipTix weren't showing up.

Give them a call - they've always been very helpful to me over the phone.
Hiptix gold is only 75 bucks for the entire year and then you can also bring someone above the age of 30. If you have someone to go with you can split it so it's only 37 bucks a year. Well worth the money for the upgraded seats
Definitely upgrade to Gold if you want some better seats. It's well worth it if you go to several of their shows, and even better if you can split it with someone.
And then just subscribe to their newsletter. I always get an email when a new show goes on sale, and there's always a pre-sale for HipTix and HipTix Gold. Then just follow the link in the email or just the pre-sale code. Important to note, they don't put the entire season on sale at once, but each show individually a few months before they start performances (unless you become a subscriber)
If you want to know what shows they have coming up this year check the Roundabout website, they have everything that is already announced listed there. I think they is one show not announced yet?

I jumped on She Loves Me and Noises Off when they went on sale but I'm not that excited about Holiday Inn or The Cherry Orchard or the casts. I am interested in both shows but not enough to book this far in advance.

Just to clarify: With standard HipTix, your guest can be of any age, there is no restriction for your +1. You don't need to upgrade to HipTix Gold to bring an older guest.
I also recommend the Gold upgrade if you want to see multiple shows. I got the front row center mezzanine for She Loves Me and the seat was perfect. Gonna be there again for Holiday Inn.

Thanks so much everyone, you guys are very nice and helpful! Out of the shows listed are there any that, in your opinion, are "must-sees" or ones that aren't so good? I know a lot of that is personal opinion but I would still love to hear what other people think.

This must be new, being able to bring a guest of any age was one of the big perks of the gold membership. I remember picking up tickets and both of us having to show ID. Thanks for the update!
From Roundabout's website: "You can purchase 2 tickets for each production with your Hiptix membership and your guest can be any age."

Ok I signed up a long time ago to get emailed when tickets go on sale and I never get the emails! I also signed up for Dear Evan Hansen and same thing - good thing I came here. Does anyone else have this problem?
