Not sure if anyone's posted on this yet or can shed some light on it, but I just happened across the Playbill casting notice for the upcoming Roundabout staging of SWEENEY TODD. Check this out:
http://www.playbill.com/jobs/find/job_detail/6223.html a cast of 9? actors playing instruments, like it's CABARET? Is this something that's been done with the show before, or has Roundabout gone completely off the deep end with this one? Either way, I'm there for the earliest preview possible!
EDIT: Ah! just found the old posts about the London production being done in the same manner. I'm so out of the loop right now. well, that answers my question, but at least here's a nice casting link.
