How is Rue at the stage door, does anyone know? I was thinking of getting an autograph on my Golden Girls DVDs. Thanks!

I've yet to meet her but I hear she's extremely nice. I can't tell you what to go by, though. Because I've been told that Bea Arthur is very rude to her fans and, when I met her, she couldn't have been nicer.

BTW, it's spelled Rue McClanahan. (Two C's)

Some friends of mine meet Bea here in Louisville a few years back, with her one woman show. They said she was nice as pie, and surprised young people were such big fans. (And my friends followed her to her hotel for an autograph, which might freak some stars out a little)

Bea Arthur is lovely...she has been here performing in SOFL many times, and has even made the rounds at the gay bars...

While I cannot tell you how she is at the stage door. I will tell you her performance was really good. I thought she was very funny as madame morrible. She is not a singer but no one really cared as she was just very good.

But then again the part of Mme Morrible doesn't include THAT much singing.

Rue is terrible in the part. What were the casting directors thinking? It was very obvious that she had no idea what she was doing up there. And she was unintelligible.
