Rush Questions for various shows

I apoligize if this has been posted before but I tried searching and found little help.

I have recently been getting into seeing shows on Broadway but have a very limited budget. In the upcoming months I plan to see Chicago, A Chorus Line, Spring Awakening and Xanadu via student rush. I know most of them have a limited number of tickets they sell via rush but I've heard some shows don't really stick to that number.

If you have any information about how any of these shows work their rush system it would be a great help. Thank you in advance.

Xanadu is hit or miss when it comes to rush- sometimes they offer it, most of the time they don't. You can be sure they probably don't have it on weekends.

I'm not sure about Chorus Line, but Spring Awakening seems to have a lot of rush seats depending on the day of the week/time of year. There had to be at least 15 people in front of me when I did it in late January of this year and I was still able to get a total of 4 tickets.

Hope this helps.

A Chorus Line sells whatever they've got left. It's not the same for each performance.

Chicago is general rush and very easy to get. Back in December My dad and sister got rush tickets and they were right Orc Row C $26.50 each. that day the B.O. opened at 12 and we got there at 11AM and the only other person online didn't show up till 11:35ish. So Chicago have been an easy show to rush in my experience.
As for SA I don't know how it is now since I haven't rushed in a while. But the last time I rushed was for my b-day in August and I got there at 6:45AM and there were already I'd say 20ppl online ahead of me. I've heard that it's goten much eaiser thos. I was at the show On February 3rd and just out of curiousity I asked the man at the B.O. if he had rush seats left and he said yes he had about 6 tix left & this was at 1:40PM for a 2PM show.
Also with SA I find it eaiser to get the onstage seats. They are $40 each where as rush is only $27 but when u get ontage seats u don't have to wake up early and stand online and it's a very cool but difference experience bc u feel like your in the show.

Hope I helped
