Does anyone know the chances of getting Rent tickets through the lottery? I know that Wicked is impossible odds, but what about Rent? I'm going this weekend and that is the play I want to see. If the lottery doesn't work, what is the next best thing to do?
The show has been selling out like mad as of late, and there have been around 200 people at lotto, so odds are not good...but, I DID happen to win on a random massively crowded Friday, so it's always worth it! You only lose an hour or so of your day. Good luck!!

I'm having a statistics test on Wednesday. Maybe this will help:
You are looking for X
n= # of people at the RENT rush/lotto.
p=1/---- (using a decimal)
q= whatever is left of P
np= is your mean
square root of npq is your standard deviation
If your standard deviation is 5 or less than than your x, your odds are not good. If it is 5 or more, your odds are better.
If you choose to use the z-score method than you need the positive z-score sheet which you most likely don't have.
Oh-well...
I hope I helped
