Now that Broadway Spotted is defunct and there's no longer a rush report weekly for Broadway's shows, does anyone know if there is any alternative out there?

If not I was thinking people could post rush experiences here as opposed to starting a new thread every time asking about what the rush is like for a certain show. Or not! Just thought I'd put it out there.

I mean, people already use this board to get rush info. And the first-hand accounts from users on this board have always been way more informative and accurate than the info on those sloppy rush reports.

Agreed. I have always found the boards to be the best source.  And if you can't find recent information, you can ask!  (within reason of course - research before questions is always preferable!)

While Rush Report was useful, I didn't like the potential for a domino effect where people would keep lining up earlier and earlier based on whatever time they saw and/or heard from the first person in line when they walked by.

I agree that the domino effect is frustrating. However, to be fair, the same thing could happen on this board. In fact, I feel like that's always going to be a possibility as long as there is word of mouth to spread the news of how early people are arriving.

yea, that domino effect is probably always going to happen with shows that have a very popular rush, which is very frustrating. For one thing, you have to get up super early, and then you have to waste 2-3 hours in line, just standing around. I often wished they'd at least hand out numbers so that you can leave, sit in a Starbucks or someplace else warm and come back at 10, but that obviously doesn't work because there is nobody at the BO before 10am...

I like that there is topic for every show where people can share their experiences, which is also much more detailed than the rush report ever was. You get to hear what the seat locations are, how many people were in line by 10, how many tickets they sold ect.

Ideally, if this was a bit bigger and more structured, there could be a section for rush/lottery report topics, that could state the policy in the first post ect. This would save you searching for the topic (and stop people from starting new ones if one already exists), but this isn't that kinda forum. So just use the search function and you'll usually find something for every show, and can then ask for more current experiences if it's not very current.

I always had to laugh. No matter which rush line I was in, I was never counted or approached about what time I got in line (I tend to be the first after nearly not getting a ticket the first time I rushed), but I would see the reports come out and they were never accurate to my experience.
